1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an order, clicking to accept, or otherwise using NameWright (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. What NameWright is (and is not)

NameWright is a self-help document-preparation and information service. It helps you prepare your own name-change paperwork and understand the correct order of steps, based on the information you provide and the choices you make. You direct the process; we assemble the forms and the checklist.

4. Not a law firm; no legal advice

NameWright is not a law firm and is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. We are not attorneys, and we do not practice law. We do not review your answers for legal sufficiency, draw legal conclusions, provide legal advice or opinions about your rights or options, select legal forms for your specific situation, or apply the law to the facts of your particular circumstances. If you need legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney.

Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Handler Labs LLC, and your communications with us are not protected by the attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine. You are representing yourself in any matter you pursue using the Service. We are also not a government agency and are not affiliated with the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Department of State, the IRS, any state DMV, or any other agency. 5. No guarantee of acceptance

Government agencies set their own requirements and can change them at any time. While we work hard to keep our guidance accurate and current, we cannot guarantee that any agency will accept a given document or that your name change will be processed within any particular timeframe.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Review every prepared document carefully before you submit it.
• Follow each agency's official instructions, requirements, and deadlines.
• Use the Service only for lawful name changes you are entitled to make, and never to commit fraud or evade a legal obligation.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes not attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, not scraping or overloading the Service, not reverse-engineering or reselling it, and not using it to violate any law or the rights of others.

8. Payments and government fees

Purchases are one-time payments processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay, and your card details are handled by Stripe, not by us. Government filing fees (for example, passport or DMV fees) are separate, are set by the agencies, and are paid directly to them, not to us. The forms themselves are free from the agencies; you are paying us only for preparation and guidance.

9. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for how it works. Because this is a one-time purchase and not a subscription, there is nothing to cancel and no recurring charges.

10. Your kit access

When you buy a kit, we give you access to your documents and tracker through a private link and a secure cookie tied to your order. Keep that link private; anyone with it can reach your kit. Let us know right away if you think your access has been compromised.

11. Intellectual property

The NameWright software, content, designs, and checklists are owned by Handler Labs LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Government forms themselves are in the public domain. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the documents we prepare for your own name change. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content.

12. Third-party links and services

The Service links to government and third-party websites and relies on providers like Stripe. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party, and your use of their services is governed by their own terms.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL DOCUMENTS IT PREPARES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDLER LABS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PREPARED DOCUMENT IS LEGALLY SUFFICIENT OR THAT ANY AGENCY WILL ACCEPT IT.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDLER LABS LLC AND ITS OWNERS AND STAFF WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Handler Labs LLC harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new date and, where appropriate, give additional notice. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Service after that means you accept them. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive, including the disclaimers, the limitation of liability, intellectual-property terms, and governing law, survive termination.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

19. Resolving disputes

Before filing anything, please contact us at help@getnamewright.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally; most problems can be fixed quickly. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may bring the claim in the courts described above. We do not require arbitration.

20. Electronic communications

You consent to receive communications and any required notices from us electronically, by email or by posting on the Service, and you agree that electronic records and communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

21. General

• Severability. If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and the Disclaimer are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
